Although it may seem like a simple operation, the baiting goes to condition the fishing session in a decisive way, so it is necessary to operate with some shrewdness.
It is essential to know that baiting is a process that will give positive results only thanks to the correctness of three factors: the current, the type of mix used and the quantity.
If we dwell on the last factor, we can say that an excessive baiting will feed the fish and not attract it, leading it to move away quickly. The aim instead must be to bring the fish closer to the fishing area and to keep it there as much as possible, feeding it from time to time.
Clearly, each fishing technique requires a different groundbait. Feeder, bottom fishing, Bolo fishing are just some of the techniques determined by this important aspect.
Today we will analyze what is the baiting for fishing from the boat. The first factor to be analyzed is the current, if excessive it can make the groundbait vain, removing the groundbait from the area in which you want to fish. This means evaluating the condition of the current well and creating the right baiting.
Some of the bait most caught by the boat for fishing with gilthead sea bream, Atlantic mackerel and little tunny are sardines and anchovies, which generate a strong appeal. These baits can be used by triggering them, but also by creating a pasture trail that will excite the fish to the point that they cannot help but approach.
On the market there are various types of Sardine groundbait, of excellent quality and infallible success for this type of technique. In fact, the ground sardines contained in the compound have an extremely strong smell and attract the prey in a few minutes.
A first tip is to combine the groundbait with pieces of sardines and anchovies. The smell, in fact, will be much more intense and capturing thanks to the oil generated by these additions. All this will create a trail that will lead the fish exactly near the fishing area.
After making the mixture will be enough to create the tight spheres of groundbait and bait the whole area around the boat, creating movement and attracting the prey.
Another tip, to keep the interest of the fish alive, is to place under the boat, about five meters deep, a bucket or a small net full of shredded sardines. This will ensure that the fish remain around the boat, still attracted by the smell of bait.
It can therefore be said that there are a number of measures that determine the success of a fishing session. Correct baiting is one of these, as is knowledge of the type of prey, the currents and the right amount of groundbait to use.
