Among the historical monuments of Ancona port, Giuseppe Trani of Tubertini, with two great athletes of the Italian sports scene, Claudio Giaconi and Andrea Bianchini, give us a fishing session not to be missed.
Two techniques are protagonists: feeder fishing at sea and surfcasting from the artificial reef and the beach that give many beautiful catches of sea bream and mullet.
A special episode of "Feeder in Tour" full of products to discover and advice on pastures and mountings.
The first to capture a beautiful seabream is Andrea Bianchini, in fact, as Giuseppe Trani points out, with the technique of surfcasting you enter first into fishing compared to the feeder that requires a longer waiting time.
For surfcasting, the expert Tubertini has chosen to fish with the new Spettralia, a top-of-the-range rod. For the day, the tip mounted is the most sensitive, but at the same time powerful enough to allow you to easily reach the desired distance. The Viral 6000, Tubertini's new t-surf wire, a tough wire, is combined with the rod to ensure the safe recovery of the fish.
While the two feeder experts are biting bream on the surf rods, they are preparing their pastures and trying to catch the first mullets that are approaching with shy bites.
Giaconi shows Tubertini spectators a pasture that he often uses with great success, a 50% mix of the well-known Tubertini Cefalo - Occhiate and Suspend mare pastures, which after soaking will be enriched with 3mm halibut pellets. His advice is to pour the dry pellet so that it slowly absorbs the water of the mix and remains more time on the bottom gradually releasing the oily particles that will hold the fish longer in the fishing area.
Also for the feeder section, Giuseppe Trani shows the three fishing settings he is using for the session. The first is a 14-foot Galaxy Feeder with medium action, a rod designed to reach long distances, which was mounted with the classic running rig mount and a cage feeder rocket, a feeder designed for long launches, thanks to the presence of lead on the head, a rig of about one meter, a number 8 hook of the series 229 with a Korean triggered.
For the second fishing setting, a 13 foot Concept Feeder Tb with medium action, on which was mounted an in-line method feeder with a short rig of about 10 cm to 2 hooks, a sliding one that will be locked in the pasture itself, while the hook triggered will be placed above the pasture.
The third fishing setting was made on a raw, silkscreen-free rod, which the Tubertini experts are testing before customizing and launching on the market. It will be an ad hoc rod for the feeder at sea, declined in three lengths and different actions and most likely will be called Concept to Sea. On the prototype a running rig mount with a block-end long-distance feeder, loaded with maggots and pasture, a rig of about a meter and a half of the 0.14 of the Next Fluorine and a number 16 hook of the series 229 on which two or three maggots will be triggered.
From the port the fishing action moves to the beach for a night fishing session. As far as surfcasting is concerned, the action that will be attempted will be twofold: with a floated bait, fishing will be carried out afloat, while with a hook at the bottom, rooting fish such as seabreams and breams will be threatened.
For the feeder technique, Giuseppe Trani will fish with a mounting specially made for floating feeder. He shows how to make it by inserting a swivel with a sliding snap, a stopper and closing a swivel with a quick release. Everything will be connected to the main line by means of the quick release.
It ends in the darkness illuminated by the headlamps a beautiful day of surfcasting and feeder fishing at sea in the company of Team Tubertini, which has given us so many emotions.
