The Herakles team composed by Franco Mancini and Alessio Caciagli takes us to Lucca, in the town of Massarosa for a day of Trout Area, a new fishing technique imported from Japan.
The Trout Area is a specialty no-kill trout fishing in pond made with micro spoon, designed specifically so that fish is subjected to minimal stress, to be then promptly released after capture.
The lake chosen by the experts of the Herakles team has a fundamental characteristic: resurgences that allow the continuous oxygenation of the water and the maintenance of its constant temperature both in summer and winter time.
Without getting lost in many preambles, the fishing day begins immediately, the objective is to test the new spoons of Herakles, the various weights, the different colors to see and analyze each time the reaction of trout.
Herakles equipment has been specially studied and designed to best practice this fishing technique.
Zero6, Sbam, Ammer, Leaf alternate on the line and the active trout repeatedly attack the various colors tested, even if, perhaps because they are very accustomed to being caught, they seem to prefer the more natural nuances.
Franco presses Alessio with various questions so that he gives technical advice and not only to those who approach this technique of fishing.
Alessio talks patiently about how to recover these lures, compares their way of working and explains how, especially the very light ones, they should not be recovered immediately with the urge to bring the fish into the landing net.
The best technique to ensure that the suspicious trout do not run away or do not loosen from the hooks, imperatively without a barb, is to avoid any kind of movement at the time of bite. In fact, the retrieve would frighten the trout, which would suddenly leave the spoon, but a very slow recovery allows the trout not to get suspicious and to bite the spoon well.
The technical advice continues with the explanation of the particular launch that Alessio makes by practicing this technique; a one-handed launch, which compared to the classic two-handed launch allows you to stay straight in front of the water and not to lose sight of the fish to be undermined, which allows you to make a more precise and clean presentation of the bait. This is also allowed by the equipment used, soft and sensitive reeds that support the escape of the fish and allow you to feel every little movement of the artificial.
