In all respects, aesthetic and technical, this is really a beautiful rod. Its body is particularly thin, thanks to the carbon structure CX2 Nano Tek with a very low incidence of resins, but also as a result of the application of Twist Free technology. It consists of the bi-directional diagonal warping of the carbon fibres, in order to counteract the torsion that develops from the area immediately upstream of the reel. This construction method increases accuracy and cast distance because it prevents misalignment of the rings at the time of release of the line by the user. So the rod performs like a knife, performing with great discipline what the user asks it to do. All this would be enough to qualify Olympea, but a rod is not just a blank! So we assembled it with one of the latest Fuji creations, the fantastic Alconite K-rings with a matte grey frame, a real beauty beyond the well-known anti-tangle properties of the 20° forward tilt. All the rings are blocked by double ligatures, with the advantage that the fixing paint completely seals the spaces at the sides of their feet, preventing the entry of salt water. The reel seat is the excellent Fuji DPS in graphite and stainless steel. The special 45° warping of the carbon surface layers is visible on the handle. It opposes the torsion in the blank, protecting it from breakage but above all increasing the casting distance and precision, because the rings and longitudinal carbon fibers maintain alignment during projection. Thus Olympea performs like a knife, rather than - in a disorderly manner - like a whip. The solid carbon tip, glued and tied from above, offers extraordinary sensitivity. Its fluorescent finish makes it visible at night. Resistance, precision and reliability are at the highest level, with the Fuji screw reel seat made of stainless steel. The profiled rubber plates protect the base of the reel from abrasion. Thanks to a drastic inclination of the ring, Fuji has solved the problem of tangle lines, which have always penalized users with loss of the frame, bait, or, in extreme cases, rupture of the rod.
