Accompanied by an expert from the Tubertini team and two young helpers, it begins today's fishing session, a Bolo fishing from the boat, with the intention of catching various species of fish in a shallow area. The trick is to graze a lot in the fishing area.
The expert will use the groundbait Tubertini Mare Nostrum, ideal bait for gilthead bream, mullet, sea bass and oblade and will make balls, ideal for slow disintegration on the bottom, with the intention of attracting especially sparids and mullets.
To make an infallible bait you must first put the flour in a bucket, gradually add water so as not to risk adding too much, stir with a spoon or ladle until it becomes dry enough.
When the day is very hot, it will need to be moistened from time to time. This mixture will allow you to create very narrow balls, which will be thrown into the water, around 12/15 meters from the boat, covering a fairly large area.
As bait will be used French bread, the blond shrimp or more normally called "pink shrimp", ideal to trigger small pieces, and finally the maggot.
The real protagonist of the session is the rod Tubertini R18 Ultra Slim, in the length of 6 meters, jewel of the Tubertini house, accompanied by the new reel Aryas, very compact, lightweight and well-balanced reel with knob cork of excellent finish.
Very thin rod, light, but at the same time rigid and robust. The evolution of the R18 lies in the innovation of the resins that, combined with the carbon fabric, allow to obtain a specific weight of 30% less, with greater rigidity and power than traditional resins.
The first catches of the session are discreetly sized oblades, gilthead breams, and sea bass that are released into the water. To increase the size of the prey is a consistent trigger of shrimp pulp on a hook of 12 VLP, very attractive trigger especially for giltheads and sea bass.
Some prey need to be take with landing net and the expert recommends the Mono landing net by Tubertini, a very light product with a sturdy medium wide mesh monofilament net, available in two sizes.
Many touches, many fish caught and thrown back into the sea. The appeal has missed as many beautiful fish as mullets, which usually occur in the clear waters as those of today's spot.
