Andrea Venturini, Maurizio Biolcati and the Trabucco Team in a new episode of Master Feeder on the shore of Taro river in the province of Parma, in Italy, for a fascinating spring fishing session in search of barbel.
From the beginning the episode is exciting and promises to give beautiful fishing moments.
The team divides, Andrea will fish according to the most classic feeder fishing technique positioning himself in a more upstream area, while Maurizio will practice downstream the specialist fishing, a technique that involves the use of a specific equipment and designed specifically to undermine and catch good size fish.
Two objectives will therefore be the objectives of the day: on the one hand, the search for prey, with a capital P, on the other, the capture of barbel at feeder.
Andrea begins to probe the fishing area making the first launches and explains how the chosen area should be favorable for two reasons: the presence of vegetation that allows you to keep the fish together in the baiting area and a stretch of slow current water that allows you to make fluid recoveries.
Trying to flush out a fish, which is stuck under a branch, with a new entry of the Trabucco house, the Ultimate Professional, Andrea explains the importance of releasing prey, especially at this specific time of year, because it could happen to capture of females in full reproductive phase.
A spectacular rod that Andrea holds in his hands, a full curve, an incredibly sensitive tip that responds immediately to any smallest stress, a long cork handle that allows you to make long launches and control them with extreme precision.
Andrea is preparing to launch something really special in the water, although accustomed to their surprises, the Trabucco Team never ceases to amaze. An underwater camera is hooked to the feeders by the wide holes and thrown into the water with the aim of showing what behavior the barbels have under water when they approach the feeder loaded with maggots.
The prey are not to wait and show themselves bigger and more combative than our friends expected, forcing them to modify their initial set-ups, moving from 14 to 22 size wires.
The Genius S1 Light basket, equipped with arm rest, groundbait trays and side trays, is the ideal choice for fishing even on rivers with irregular banks; adjustable feet in height allow you to ensure for complete stability during fishing on any type of terrain.
Maggot is the winning bait in this fishing session and Maurizio shows us a trigger suitable for the call of large fish: on the hook are triggered 4-5 maggots and the hook is slightly closed on itself to form a sort of "maggots ball" that will be irresistible to the barbels of Taro that are waded endlessly, although it is challenging to bring in fish catches that fall 40 meters from the shore in waters full of obstacles and submerged vegetation.
Finally Andrea shows us all the components of his fishing line revealing the secrets of a successful and full fun session (Slider Connector, Stop Swivel Beads, hooks XPS 110XN, 710 XB or even Silver Specialist) reserving a small tutorial to his beloved spectators on the braid between line and main line.
An episode not to be missed full of technical tricks to be treasured.
