Designed by COLMIC in collaboration with the most famous SURF CASTING competitors, the new ACTARUS 8000 aims to meet the highest requirements in terms of aesthetics and technical performance. The body and rotor of the ACTARUS 8000 are made of ultra-light Graphite, combined with a low-capacity ULTRALIGHT aluminium alloy spool to give it a unique lightness, just think that the spool weighs only 85g. The DRAG CARBON WASHER clutch discs on the ULTRALIGHT spool allow for precise and smoother clutch adjustment than on traditional spools with aluminium discs. The PARALLEL WINDING SYSTEM allows perfect winding of the nylon coils for an always fluid release that allows long and precise casts. A second REGULAR spool with a deeper throat is supplied in addition to the normal low capacity spool to accommodate thinner nylons, for spooling larger diameters. Thanks to the "WORM SHAFT SYSTEM", i.e. the worm screw of the spool oscillation mechanism with which it is equipped, the spooling is impeccable and perfectly parallel so as to have an excellent outflow of nylon during the casting phases, essential to reach longer and longer distances.
