The Fuego LT 2020 from Daiwa is the new version of this series of spinning reels.
This new model introduces Daiwa's new material, namely Zaion V used for both the body and the rotor.
The Zaion V is a carbon fibre-based composite material developed to further improve the performance of the LT (Light & Tough) series reels: it is as light as Zaion and significantly stiffer and more resistant to stress than the DS5 and DS4 materials.
The mechanical properties of Zaion V allow to create bodies and rotors with a lighter weight compared to DS5 and DS4 materials: the internal mechanics can therefore work at its best, it guarantees a greater fluidity and a higher resistance to fatigue, resulting in lighter and more performing reels.
The clutch is ATD (Automatic Tournament Drag), while the crank is in aluminium to guarantee the maximum lightness and sensitivity.

- Cross Wrap Reel.
Magsealed.
A special magnetized oil membrane seals the sprocket exit port from the body, preventing water from entering the body.
The technology, used by NASA in the fuel lines of spacecraft, is exclusive to Daiwa in the industry.
It is intuitive that the absence of water and dust inside the body preserves the mechanisms from the risks of corrosion, extending the life of the reel.
On the most advanced reels, the system is also applied to benefit the line guide and the control wheel, other weak points to be protected.
Both applications affect the smoothness of rotation, reducing friction and increasing the pleasure of fishing.
Tough Digigear.
Superior gears, developed from the famous Daiwa Digigear. Tough Digigear components have been increased in size and improved in materials, ensuring better performance, reliability and durability.
ATD (automatic drag system).
The clutch is the ATD (Automatic Tournament Drag), while the crank is made of aluminum to ensure maximum lightness and sensitivity.
With the ATD, the brake on the spool reacts in a gentle way to the initial stress, then progressively setting itself to the set "brake".
