As its name suggests the Dexter Eel is an eel shaped bait designed to appeal to big predators. Certain characteristics like the soft rubber material impregnated with “Nitro Booster” are the same as for our Dexter Shad. But the Dexter Eel has a unique swimming action that makes it a good change bait from classic big shad type lures. The Eel gives of low frequency vibrations that are easily picked up by predators but don’t arouse suspicion. On straight retrieves the bait can be cranked rapidly without stopping for quick prospection then slowed down and worked more carefully over more promising fish holding areas. This lure will often get a take from older fish that look on it as a large and easy meal. Originally designed for big pike but now proving its worth as a catfish catcher as well!
