In all respects, aesthetic and technical, this is really a beautiful rod. Its body is particularly thin, thanks to the structure in carbon CX2 Nano Tek with a very low incidence of resins, but also as a result of the application of Twist Free technology.
It consists in the bi-directional diagonal warping of the carbon fibres, in order to counteract the twisting that develops from the area immediately upstream of the whirlwind.
This construction method increases precision and throw distance because it prevents misalignment of the rings when the line is released by the user.
Thus, the rod performs like a knife, executing with great discipline what the user asks for.
All this would be enough to qualify Olympea, but a rod is not just a blank! So we assembled it with one of the latest Fuji creations, the fantastic Alconite K rings with a matte gunmetal frame, a true splendor beyond the known anti-tangle properties resulting from the forward tilt of 20°.
All the rings are locked by double bindings, with the advantage that the fixing paint totally seals the spaces on the sides of their feet, preventing the entry of salt water.
The reel holder is the excellent Fuji DPS in graphite and stainless steel.
The new Trabucco device for aligning the sections is based on three lines instead of two, exactly as in the precision optics.
The concept starts from the physical characteristics of the human eye, which has a higher capacity for bisection rather than alignment.
