In order to obtain the same resistance to torsion with a traditional structure, it would be necessary to increase the diameter of the blank and the thickness of its walls, with negative effects on the weight and on the capacity to cut the air, elements that would drastically reduce the speed of the cast, a fundamental factor in reaching important distances. But the project also considered the aspects of line management, especially in view of the current trend in the use of braided lines. Thus the tip of the Supernova has seven rings, one more than the standard, without suffering the weight effect thanks to the use of Titanium rings.
The family consists of two series with a precise employment address. In spite of the thinness of the blank, these four rods develop an impressive reactivity, governed by Twist Free technology to not disperse even a gram of the force impressed by the user. The unusual lengths of 4.30 and 4.70 metres follow the current trend and respond to the growing need to use very long terminals, in the order of two metres.
